HOMSEA2023: Registration and Accommodation

The upcoming HOMSEA conference will be held 9-11 June at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.

Registration rates are as follows (in Singapore $),

For attendees from the US, Europe, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and countries with similar income levels: S$300; postgraduate students and unemployed: S$150.

For attendees from Southeast Asia: S$100; postgraduate students and unemployed: S$50.  

Please note that recipients of travel grants do not need to pay registration fees.

Please pay your registration fee before 1 June 2023 to the PayPal account of Hans Pols via hans.pols@sydney.edu.au. If you do not have a PayPal account, please ask me to send you an invoice, which you can pay by credit card. (You can also pay by bank transfer; please let me know if you want to use that option).

After 1 June, registration rates will go up.

Please find attached the hotel registration form. Please note that you can book both room types with 2 twin beds (and share the room). You will need to make your hotel bookings directly with the hotel.

Nanyang Technological University is rather remote. It will be possible to find cheaper accommodation elsewhere in Singapore, but you will need to travel to the conference site by subway or taxi.

History of Medicine in Southeast Asia

The goal of HOMSEA is to promote research in all aspects of the history of medicine and health in Southeast Asia in order to foster closer fellowship among medical historians and greater cooperation among scholars and students, especially those practicing in the region, by providing a forum for the international exchange of ideas and research.

Its main aim will be to organise a conference in Southeast Asia related to its goal once every two years, usually in cooperation with other societies.
